South Shore Trading is an initiative of several entrepreneurs and has become an international operating company specialised in Aquaculture. South Shore trading is specialised in importing and exporting eels. Recently sister companies in Canada and United States have been sold. With the knowledge gained in these regions, South Shore Trading now focuses on the European market. The current activities consist of importing and selling eels in Europe.
The core business of South Shore Trading in Europe is developing projects in the horticulture industry. South Shore Trading specializes in consulting, financing and participating in Aquaculture Projects. Aquaculture is the cultivation of the natural produce of water (fish, shellfish, algae and other aquatic organisms). The term is distinguished from fishing by the idea of active human effort in maintaining or increasing the number of organisms involved, as opposed to simply taking them from the wild.
